This year’s Fete features many traditional activities and games such as chuck-an-egg, coconut shy, children’s craft corner, as well as Paint Ball, Shoot-a-Goal and human fruit machine. There will also be old favourites such as the book stall, bric-a-brac, tombola, vintage vehicles, fire engine, home-made cakes, local crafts, along with many other stalls and side shows. Tony Spaghetti will be there to entertain children as well as inflatables and Miller’s Arc naughty goats and quacky ducks!
The Flower Show which has traditionally shared the day with the Fete will be replaced by the inaugural Rogate Bake Off as well as craft, flower arranging and photographic competitions. Refreshments such as home-made teas, cakes, beer, pimms, Fish and Chip van, Traditional Ice Cream Company trike and BBQ will all be on offer. There will be music throughout from the Liss Band.
New this year will be the main arena which has an exciting line up of events including a fun dog show, wooden horse-racing and tote, children’s races and costume parade.
The raffle promises fabulous prizes including £200 cash, meals, days out and pampering vouchers. £50 cash for one lucky programme. Every year Rogate gathers to raise money for its village hall and recreation ground (a registered charity) and all visitors are warmly welcome.
The Rogate Fete will be open from 2pm - 5pm. Afterwards the festivities will continue at the White Horse pub with a live band.
Thanks to our sponsors for their support: The Country House Company, Mackarness & Lunt, 6A Vision, Durleigh Marsh Farm and TJays.
