1. The Rogate Village Hall and Recreation Ground Charity (“the Charity”) acknowledges that the United Kingdom is diverse in culture, race, beliefs and religion and believes that no individual or group of people should receive less favourable treatment on the grounds of gender, age, colour, race, nationality, racial or national origins, cultural heritage, disability, marital status, social background, sexual orientation or geographical location.
2. The Charity is committed to providing equality of opportunity in the provision of services, as an employer, and in all other aspects of its work.

- Ensure all staff, hirers and trustees are aware of this policy on equal opportunities;
- Avoid discriminating on the basis of any of the characteristics listed at (1) above and encourage its users to do the same;
- Widen accessibility by seeking, where reasonably practical, to remove barriers which make it difficult for people with disabilities to use the Hall or Recreation Ground;
- Deal with any complaints of discrimination promptly, impartially, thoroughly, and confidentially.
